About Me
My background
I am a current student at Milwaukee Area Technical College pursuing a major in Graphic Design. As a highly motivated and experienced designer, I strive to create the best possible illustrations for each and every task. Over years of progression, I have learned that the process of creativity is never ending. The most exciting aspect of the field is being able to have the ability to constantly improve, and as a designer I make this my goal.
My experience
DESIGN EXPERIENCE
From around 17 years old, I began designing commissioned cover art for local musicians in the area. I have also created logos for some of the local intermutual soccer teams. These commissioned projects have been extremely beneficial to learning time management, and how to meet the deadlines customers make for me.
WORK EXPERIENCE
For the past 4 years, I have been a manager at Cousins Subs. There is a lot of responsibility that has come along with the position, and I have gained many skills from the experience. A major skill I have learned from the position is my ability to multitask and keep up with a fast paced environment with lots of distractions. Being able to manage numerous tasks has become an asset that I will further use along my career every day. Another important part of my position, is being able to maintain a comfortable work environment for all of the employees. This is very important to me, and I have always made sure to maintain a workplace that everyone is both safe and comfortable.
My skills
I use many different mediums, such as drawing, physical crafting, and digital illustration. I have accumulated knowledge and experience with all of the major Adobe softwares (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects), and have a great understanding of modern day internet literacy. In addition to my design skills, I have also learned other important skills and assets throughout my life experience and schooling. Regarding schooling, I have always excelled in my writing skills and have found I have a great understanding of wording and communication. Writing has grown to become an enjoyment for me, and has been an involvement in my free time ever sense. Another asset I bring and that I take pride in, is my social and communicative skills.
For the past 7 years, I have been working a food service job that requires daily conversations with both workers and customers. Throughout these years of work I have learned how to neutralize situations, and always maintain professionalism to create the best possible work environment for everyone involved.
